... got another Great Lake view as I rode along. Arrived at Walt and Arla's at about 1:30 and was so happy to see them. Both are doing well and keeping more than busy. Put the bike in the garage and we had lunch, followed by a visit to Friske's Pie Shop for dessert ( and another pie to take home for later). This time, the waves were insanely choppy and the water tubing was far more intense. Nick in particular was a trooper during his solo run, managing not to tip over and let go after practically being airborne.
Now that I'm back in the clear, non-polluted air of Northern Michigan, I decided to go for a run-- something I didn't dare do in Beijing. It was pleasant enough; I ran through downtown Boyne City and the surrounding area, and the weather was perfect. A little cloudy, a little breeze, but comfortable.
When I got back, we watched-- big surprise-- Episode 3 of Sherlock. Ready to try out the boat again, we piled in with drinks and snacks ...
