Something we thought funny: The CBS TV station here is called News 9 & 10. So when they advertise or announce the nightly 11:00 news it’s News 9 & 10 at 11! The first time we heard this we laughed but we learned that there are two stations (9 & 10) owned by the same company that cover the Lake Michigan area from mid state down and mid state up. ... blessed with almost perfect weather and the absence of the prevalent bugs that usually invade this area, further enhanced our experience... one that we most definitely can recommend..
the only down side to this ...
... of shrimp and clams. Unfortunately, on the way back to the RV we hit a deer and it did some damage to the front of my car. We can still drive the car. It will have to wait to get fixed until we get home in November. The deer it did not fare so well.
It's been a great week here in Charlevoix. Cindy and I have been entranced by this beautiful little town and by all of northern lower Michigan. Those "Pure Michigan" ads seem like photoshopped fantasies, but our seven days here have shown them to be much closer to reality than you would believe. Cindy and I are looking forward to our return to this beautiful green paradise. Our final day here in Charlevoix was spent running a few errands in nearby Petoskey. ...
