So since the last post we made the drive from Ile de Re to Biscarosse. Nothing much to report on the drive just that due to the French heading south as well the roads were quite busy in places. We arrived at one campsite and Jim went off in a golf buggy to check out the available pitches, they were a no go so we went to the next campsite down the road. They gave us a map and we found a pitch we liked the look of so decided to stay there for 5 nights. One thing we didn't ...

There are no buildings in the city over four stories, and they have protected the river front with huge paths and gardens. We walked until ...

The idea is to get into Spain today or tomorrow (depending how many beers I have) and get to explore the Basque Country. It's already apparent, the signs are in Spanish here as well and paella is on the menu in most restaurants - mmmmm!
Had a lovely chat with Jilly last night and it's looking good for a meet-up soon. She's promised to show me the ropes with the Tapas bars of northern Spain so bring it ...
