Grand Prairie has a Costco and we were able to buy supplies there and get gas in RV. Gas here is sold by the liter and is pricey. The Costco gas will be the cheapest in Canada for us. The unleaded regular was $1.19 per liter or about $4.50 Canadian per gallon. I bought 189 liters or 50 gallons the day we left for Dawson Creek, mile zero of the Alaskan Highway.

Drove on Hwy 40 from Jasper. The day was fairly dry, but in and out of rain. The drive was very up and down with 7 hills (mountains) that had long uphill and then downhill grades of 6 to 10 percent. Dorothy thought we would certainly DIE!
