... pass out under the table! No wonder they all have to have a siesta!!!
We staggered back onto the bus at 2.45pm to go to San Gimignano. We had 1.5 hrs. to walk around the walled city. San Gimignano is another walled medieval hill-top town. It is known as the town of fine towers, it is famous for its medieval architecture, unique in the preservation of about a dozen of its tower houses. There are notable examples of both ...

Easter Sunday in Florence

Of particular interest today was not the sights but an intimate conversation with a local jeweler in a tiny shop called Bittagioielli. Andrea Errera is a craftsman who works for himself, producing original ...

... more like a hotel, to be honest. It was really, really nice, with a bar/restaurant inside and a rooftop bar with all different levels and sitting areas with tables, couches and umbrellas. The view from up there was so pretty. Once we got settled in, we went to sleep for a couple of hours and had to wake up to get breakfast at 6:45 a.m. We were really tired, but quickly forgot about it once we got outside and saw the sparkling waters and beautiful houses lining the Mediterranean. ...
