    Beaufiful Hotel in ancient buildings

A very beautiful hotel in one main building and one dependence across the street. Both buildings are very nicely redone and located right next to the Karl's Bridge. What's more, the staff is very friendly and very helpful.

    The Segways

Up at sunrise! Lovely view over the roof tops of Prague. A delicious breakfast and then off to Prague on Segways. It was located just near the American Embassy. There were policemen in the street checking the underneath of cars for bombs – but no pedestrian backpacks were checked.

Martin – our wonderful Segway instructor had us …

The day began early, breakfast at 6am followed by the first driver who was conservative on the roads. Our stay at the Radisson Blu Deira Creek was great. The service amazing, all the staff were so considerate – even the man delivering the newspapers who noticed us coming from our room with our baggage, so he went and pressed the lift button …

Great flight out of YVR to Munich and on to Prague. Landed exactly as promised, 4:10 pm. Amazing precision flying by the Germans... Pseudo-military, in a good way! Checked in at the hotel... Very pleased with Hotel Pod Vezi. Large room, by any standard, on quiet side of the square, but in the centre of it all. After a 1.5 hour power down, we walked …

It has been a hectic past few weeks so I have not been able to keep up with my blog. But oh boy do I have some stories for you... none of which I will tell because I don't have time right now, but a quick highlight:

    • Spent the past 2 1/2 weeks in Borova Lada at the mountain home, FINALLY made some real friends (and some men who asked me to marry them every night), and by the time I left, everyone in the village knew me ...

... and old town square. We saw the famous statue of two men peeing outside the Kafka museum, and had lunch at the awesome Czech restaurant we ate at on our first visit. We also saw Cerny's famous baby statues that have little indents instead of faces (creepy, I know). In fact, the TV tower in Prague was covered with these babies as a response to citizens' dislike of the building's aesthetics. Why was that the answer? I honestly do not know, but the thing sure is interesting. We ...
