We got up at 7.30 and packed our bags again. Once we checked out at 9.00 we caught a cab to Rome Fumicino airport. Our flight was leaving at 12, and we didn't want to risk being caught in traffic. We had to be at the airport about 2 hours before the flight. After checking our luggage in, we were waved straight through to our gate, no customs, no …

... was meant to be 'smoother'. She made it the traditional way and gave us a bottle of water. "Sip absinthe then water and take time." Were her instructions for us, we shared one and drank it slowly over almost thirty minutes... Smooth absinthe is still like drinking straight metho, it stings your face and eyes to even have the glass to your face! But hey, we had a litre of water between us? Last stop for the day before we headed home was the astronomical clock tower. The square around ...

... to Brisbane right now.
A great deal of the highway is concrete over 40 years old and quite a rough and noisy coach ride to bring us into peak hour Prague traffic at 5pm.and to our beautiful old style Art Deco Imperial hotel adjacent to central city attractions. Rather tired and an early night. Yesterday, May 1st was busy even though it was labor day holiday.Long walking tour of the old city, over a very congested George Bridge for ...

The city of dreams and my run through its sewers

So it gave us a reason to stick together cuz neither of us spoke the local language. The first interesting experience came at the end of the Castle trip. After checking out the architecture and churches on top, the time had now come for a quick lunch break. And for any future Prague ...

... with Joe (until he left to hang out with his friends) and the English girls they'd met the night before, Laura and Hannah. A young American guy joined us too, Jefferson. The girls and Jeff were cooking up some dinner (which was vego!) and we ended up eating with them. After dinner we all walked to the supermarket together to get some drinks. We ended up getting two big beers each, or all different types, as well as some cheese, then ...

A very beautiful hotel in one main building and one dependence across the street. Both buildings are very nicely redone and located right next to the Karl's Bridge. What's more, the staff is very friendly and very helpful.
