... and the rest of the band picked up the slack. There was a horn, slide trombone and base fiddle that carried the others. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

We trundles down Bourbon street for a bit then separated from our younger companions to return to the hotel where we cooled off in the pool then settled in for the night.

... flashing lights, vibrating seats and snow that fell from the ceiling. It was entertaining, but I gained little from it. I checked out the Boeing exhibit and it was full of planes hanging from the ceiling including a B-17 Flying Fortress that had crashed and was salvaged and rebuild for the exhibit. We're in room 312 tonight which means it wasn't long before we got in to our room after our bags were unloaded from the coach.
