Another day, another port. The Dominican Republic is the eastern side of the island of Hispaniola. The western side is Haiti. We docked at a port called La Romana. The Consuelo Rotary club has been busy trying to get some projects started at Nuestros Peqenos Hermanos orphanage this month. We went and had a meeting with one of the women who heads up several projects there, namely the massive organic on-site garden. My club of Dartmouth East will be coming at the end of February or beginning of March for a week, and want to get involved in something to help, so I thought that it would be good to get the Consuelo club on the go ...
