Hi all, we are still in Silves. Unbeknown to us, we seem to have landed on one of the best campsites around and now we are reluctant to move on. It is good as we are close to the historical town centre (5 mins) which is seriously old (still the Moors and Christians fighting after they kicked out the Romans), there is electric connections, free internet, a supermarket two minutes away, good showers, few tourists and loads ...

Lagos totally took us by surprise with it's turquoise waters, surreal sandstone formations, adrenalin inducing cliffs and wacky hostel buddy (Hugo). Indeed, I am now convinced the world has beauty secrets I could never have imagined.

Blessing the fishing boats and the crew.

      We are enjoying the sun.

We have parked in a secure site with electricity €4 per night, which is fantastic value.

We decided to stay on until Monday when the township are having a religious ceremony to bless the fishing boats, followed by local dancing. This got the whole community out and a procession of clergy and followers walked from the church to the port. We joined in too. The people are so religious ...
