The location of the hotel is very convenient - close to the red and the green line of the MRT, which can probably take you everywhere in Singapore. There are also a lot of food options within walking distance.

Staff is not very helpful and doesn't really have a lot of knowledge about the surroundings. We arrived in mid-night and tried to find some food. We were told that there was nothing open. On the way to 7-11, we found at least a handful of restaurants serving delicious Arabian food. So take a map and be prepared.

The hotel room is okay considering the price.

I booked a package at the PARKROYAL on Beach Road, including a Massage, Breakfast each morning and the room. The room was fantastic, very clean and a huge bed, the bathrooms could have been better but was more than adequate and again very clean.
I very much enjoyed my stay and plan to go back again. The staff were very friendly and helped in any way they could. Great breakfast spread.
The best massage I ever had.

Our taxi driver who took us out there had just retired from forty years in the SAS and FBI and was so excited to pick us up as his fourth customers on his very first day. It was so lovely to see his genuine delight however it was just as well we'd been there before and I have an app on my phone called street directory which is invaluable for the moment when the taxi driver ...

Spend a few hours wandering and enjoying the heat and the atmosphere of Singapore before making my way back to Changi Airport so that I didnt get caught out by the traffic.

But I would highly recommend Singapore.

... after a curt exchange, we were back in the waiting room replotting our carefully planned route. No, China no longer issues 30 day visas effective from the date of entry. Yes, China changed its policy only one month ago. Yes, China only issues 30 day visas effective immediately. Yes, it is unfortunate that you won't be in China by the time your visa expires. No, there's nothing I can do about this.

... I have 2 am flight to catch and I had to rush to the airport after my last activity of the day. I am beyond excited because:

          1. I'm flying to Delhi.
          2. I'm flying by myself to a totally strange place and going to hang around for 4 hours before meeting my friend at the airport.
          3. I'm already booking for my next trip before this adventure even starts.

          So what's not to love?
