... The “bridge” is a lava tube (where volcanic lava once flowed) that the river water runs through (it looks like the river suddenly disappears!) before emerging from the rocks 50 feet below. It was VERY cool and extremely beautiful.

... 4 (very imaginative names here, there are Beaches 1, 2 and 3 as well!) we walked the Spruce Burl trail. Some virus or an irritant in the sea spray caused the burl formation in the trees just back from the beach - weird shapes everywhere.

... to them, and then swore them in in front of everyone. See video. We walked through the Hall of Mosses. It was pretty impressive. Disappointed we didn't see any banana slugs. But maybe because it was a dry, warmish day, they didn't make thier appearance.
We sat and had a picnic lunch at the rain forest, which was nice.

So day 2 in Aberdeen is going pretty good, we’ve hiked about 5 miles today with almost all of our gear (about 60lbs each) and met Bill who gave us a quick lift to Walmart. We’ve been enjoying Aberdeen so much we’re staying another night.
