We head just under 200 miles north to Benicarlo, Camping Alegria Del Mar, (N40 25'36" E0 26'17"), an ACSI site.

First impressions, site appears to be fine, you even get a free "welcome ...

... out again and back up the street they came as fast as they had gone down. The objective is to get a tag on the horn of one of them without being gored.....seems marginally insane, even to me! When they reached the white truck, they turned and charged back down again. Obviously the locals knew the score but I just thought that this was a great opportunity to improve on my photos. I hadn't banked on such a close encounter! As they charged towards us, one dipped ...

... in India. This procession does three laps around the centre of the town and finish up in front of St Thomas' church where all the animals then receive a blessing!

So to the dangerous bit....and no railings....and up narrow streets! Four horses, the size of trucks, bring up the rear of the procession. The riders were riding bareback. the horses were gigantic, the biggest I have ever seen, heaven knows what breed they were. They trotted ...

Well, let me tell you, a Donkey in the field next to the campsite is a big turn off.

FIB - Benni the gig

... we got some food. and walked up the beach, met steve and james, and got the rocket and transported oursevles to the gig. they wouldnt let us into the car park but we ended up finding a sweet little pace about ten minutes walk from the gig, we were able to listen to the gig form the van, and then head in at our own time.
