These guys are helpful. The hotel room was awesome, definitely a chic modern hotel. Breakfast and internet included. After 3 days, the breakfast does get boring, but what hotel doesn't have this issue?

Today, Holly and I had plans to relax and enjoy Sorrento. We also had laundry to do as we couldn't fit enough clothes for the entire trip in 2 carry-on bags each. We finally slept in for the first time in our trip, getting up around 9:30. We cleaned up enough to be presentable and headed down to enjoy the breakfast offered by the hotel. They had …

We continued to stroll the streets. They are so busy with people it's ...

... I recommend paying the extra 4 Euro for a real guide, the audio guide was rather disorganized and you never knew exactly where you were. It didn’t help that the signs for what code to enter were about the size of a large pencil and the same color as everything else. So we just made up what we decided each place was, occasionally forcing the audio guide to work with us. But even with that, Pompeii ...

    Exactly what I needed

A travel blog entry by kari.george on Jul 17, 2010

... that I could just use my Eurail pass. Done and done! The pass has certainly saved me money but has usually been a pain to use, but not in this case :)

What is a pain is the stupid phone I bought - the only mistake and regret of my trip. I don't think I ereally needed one and I let myself get caught up in the "I need a phone, okay I'll take it" without looking at other options. So, the phone didn't work and I couldn't call Barbara, one of my Aunt ...
