The final highlight of the day was spotting an iguana. Some 50cms long, he ambled through the foliage near the showers as we were readying to leave. The kids were electrified. Kier grabbed his iPod and took 38 photos as it rested in the sun. Rana stood on the path pointing, mumbling "Iguana, iguana" to passers-by who stopped, rubbed her hair and continued on oblivious.

... at the price of beer but Wasif knew of a cafe with cheap beer (for locals) so we had planned for the driver, him and me to finish off the day over a beer or two. ... we headed back down to the lodge. We were absolutely starving after 8 hours of climbing already today, despite the fact it was only 10am! But we were rewarding with a lovely breakfast of toast, eggs, sausages, beans and mashed potato. Feeling much better with a full stomach we packed our bags and set of with Petros for the climb back down. For some reason Sharif seemed to be in a mad rush down and was determined to reach the bottom in 2 hours, apparently ...

... a funghi because of the way it reproduces. So or it is a big flower which lives like a mushroom or it is a huge mushroom which looks like a flower! Somebody has the answer ??

The other days we met again with Ian and Gina also, it is Easter weekend so Ian has off. And very nice also his sister (Gillian) and boyfriend Arthum were having vacation in Borneo. We met them earlier in August in Capetown! How small can the world be.
