... really wasn't much to see as the banks are quite built up. Even the border between Belgium and the Netherland was a simple small white marker on each side of the river bank and would have been missed except for one of our crew pointing it out. We docked in Willemstad for dinner and then headed out for another of Weiger's guided walking tours. This pretty little town was built for defensive purposes in the 1600s and is very small. We walked around almost the entire town on the ...

... I just don’t know. In some respects, I enjoy the European lifestyle so much more. Countries are smaller, so even a flight of a few hours can take you to the beach, or high mountains, or a country of gourmets. ... the list, to end up with
something that looked like (and tasted like) fermented raspberry cordial, with
    overtones of cough medicine. Funny
enough, this beer went quite well with the mussels, but definitely not with the
extra-choc mouse for dessert! Next time
we’ll stick with the Stella or Leffe beer. Being food-a-holics, over the next
couple of days, we tried other local Belgian treats, such as Flemish Stew, lapin

    A Day Around Antwerp

I made sure that I got up early enough to have a day to walk around Antwerp. Managed to get up, have a coffee and a shower, and headed in a general direction. After walking from street to street, with no real route in mind, I was peckish. So I went into a little fast food place, which seemed to be the student hangout, and had a very Antwerp student lunch; fries with mayonnaise, and a currywurst special (which is essentially ...
