Danach wurde das Visitor Center mal wieder stark benutzt. Diesmal wurden die Waschbecken aber nicht wie am Vortag als Duschen vergewaltigt, sondern es wurden lediglich Schüsseln gewaschen, Zähne geputzt und aufs Klo gegangen. Wie immer halt.

El dia i mig que he passat a Sun Peaks resort han estat fantastics, he pujat 2 muntanyes (una de 1000m de desnivell com al Cano del Colca al Peru), he degustat una autentica hamburguesa canadenca, m'han ofert una feina de temporada al Resort i he conegut un altre Personatge (amb majuscules).

... entschlossen, dass wir ca. im februar wieder dorthin gehen um ski-ferien zu machen. wir haben uns bereits für occasion-snowvboards (resp. skis) umgesehen: für 200.-- kann man bereits etwas vernüftiges kaufen (mit bindung!).

Am Vortag vor unserem weiterflug fuhren wir zurück nach vancouver und übernachteten dort in einem hostal bei der hastings-street. das pendet zu unserer langstrasse....voller penner ...

I just got a new camera, so i can not only tell my family and friends what I have been up to....but SHOW them. My new water proof camera seems very cool so far but I'm just sitting here at 1:50 am... trying to figure it out. excuse the tired look haha

... next day as I spent the morning with Katie and we went for a long walk along the Thompson River at Kamloops-gorgeous weather too. Chip their border collie enjoyed the walk as well. Lunchtime Katie dropped me with Cousin Sue, and after a relaxing lunch in the garden, we spent a lazy afternoon catching up on family news and I enjoyed a long swim in their pool. Bliss.

A last family dinner outside on the patio was a fitting ending to my stay in ...

We stopped just outside Whistler to fill up Dora's propane tank before heading East trough Pemberton and into the mountains.
The snow was heavy and the road, in places, was sheet ice, fresh snow leaving a crisp layer on top leaving the driving nerve racking but exciting.
I had taken the wheel for the first stint, and we had heard from various people that the road we were on could actually be impassable that time of year and seeing no ...

... the 100f mark we spent a balmy evening with our hosts in the garden next to the river. We had cheese, kebabs off the barbecue, home made wine, not to mention Nancy's famous chocolate freezer cake and fresh apricots picked fresh from the tree. We watched as hundreds of birds came into roost as the harvest moon rose over the hills, the way it reflected orange rays across the river was beautiful, it really was a lovely way to spend a summers evening.

... are on tomorrow's agenda. I'm still wobbling around after spending so much time out on the vestibule snapping photos and movies. See the slide show... The food on the train has been oustanding and non-stop. I have tried bison (just like beef) and had an excellent Indian dinner tonight. Yes, this far from the heat of the sub-continent, there are Indians driving the taxis and cooking yummy samosas.
