Excited to attend December Nights in Balboa Park

My kids just love the Balboa Park. December Nights in Balboa Park is one annual family event we try to enjoy every year. So this time we are going to San Diego to check out the festivities in Balboa Park on December 4th and 5th. Balboa Park is delightfully lit up with sparkling lights. The best part is a chance to savor lip smacking delicacies from different countries ranging from ...

Maritime Museum and Gaslamp Quarter

We decided to cross the border back to the USA. From our last drive through Mexico I remembered all the locals walking up and down between the stalled cars trying to sell food, blankets and other random items. They are definitely still there! It was a great way for me to get rid of all my change, since I can't exchange it anyway. I bought a creme-filled pastry, not sure what it was, but I do know ...

The 2nd most dangerous place in Mexico

... with beach backdrop a very bored looking donkey wearing a straw hat we dived into a restaurant that was recommended in the guide. Now as Tijuana is fueled by tourism and mostly american most of the bars pump out a mixture of loud hip hop style hits mixed in with various rigaton tracks. Everyone of them is in constant competition to grab the attention of people walking past and this place was no exception. We were taken up to balcony looking over onto the drag with the music ...

... side of the road emptying their cars too. That's gotta be fun. Today Arron and I drove around and found a Best Buy. I picked up the third season of 24 and Arron picked up a Canon digital camera. We're ready for our week of California dates. Maybe I'll have some ****** pictures from the car to upload. (Disclaimer: If you don't get the title, you need to watched Anchorman)

Have to get up early to ski!

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel's restaurant, we thought we would get DD and I into ski school, but we just didn't get there in time. It was a beautiful, sunny day with new powder (from overnight) so *everyone* in the area was on the slopes. Only the ...

A day trip to Tijuana

... sights and bought a couple of things for people back home. I return to American soil around 5.00pm and on my return I saw the little girl who try to sell me some jewelry. I had about US$3 in my pocket and I gave it to her, it was amazing to see her face light as she ran back to her mother. I asked a local why she was so happy and he told me that the US$3 I gave her could feed her family for 3 nights. Pretty amazing really!!! Until tomorrow Kiwi Out!!!!
