    ... was measuring and cutting the 2x4s we used for framing. Maclean was building the roof trusses. Nothing was pre-fabbed - all built by us from scratch!

    Thankfully, the sky was overcast and the temperature was not too bad. After 3 - 4 hours, we had the outside walls constructed and we were able to get the basic house structure erected. With the exterior walls already attached - it started to take shape quite quickly. The house itself had one main room and then two small bedrooms. ...

    Oh and lastly ... if you stay within the limits of the touristy downtown you should be perfectly fine. DO NOT FORGET that just a block away from the monument is the red light street called COAHUILA. That place is definitely one to go in search for trouble. DO NOT GO THERE but if you do chose to go and something goes wrong please please please do not go on saying that Mexico is dangerous ...

    ... back. Hulkette bought a cool leather bag but they didn't have another or I would have got one too. Then drifted back to the line for the border crossing. It had grown a bit, looked like we were in for a couple of hours wait. We went no where for quite a while, then no where again for quite a while. The queue doubled back on itself for quite a distance, took over 3 hours to travel that doubled back bit. Joined ...

    After a week in San Diego I have seen many things such as Dolphins, Belmont Amusement Park, Sea World San Diego, The San Diego Zoo, Universal Studios and many other great places nearby. There was also some great restaurants I visited such as:

    • Albert's(restaurant in the Lost Forest)
    • Shipwreck Reef Cafe
    • Hollywood ...

    ... birds from all over the world (which I particularly enjoyed) and the usual array of "zoo animals". Having been to Africa twice and seeing so many of these animals in the wild, just breaks my heart to have to see them in cages. Although to their credit, most of the animals are in some kind of "habitat" that would match where they are from originally.
