... then had to wait for a pick up truck to take me to Mazunte. Everyone on the truck was Mexican with me the random tourist and her backpack!!  I held very limited conversation in spanish but it felt good! A man got off with me and walked me most of the way to the hostel which was helpful.  The hostel is amazing and I think it's what makes my stay here perfect. ... beach. I went down to the water and a wave crashed a lot farther up than I was expecting, sucked one of my flip flops right off like a vacuum. I waited for the next wave to bring it back to me, grabbed it, pivoted, and the undertoe ripped the other sandal off my foot sideways (like it tore the strap completely off).. So, basically, no more sandals.

I should have just stayed and worried about moving accommodations later, but ...

... matter. (I love Mexico if only for their lack of interest in obeying speed limits) The only drawback is that – they're toll roads. And quite expensive – you pay approximately a dollar for every 10 kilometers.

So, after setting some new speed records, we got bored with the toll roads. Especially, as the terain here is mountainous, so driving is real fun. For me, at least. I told Joe that I'm prompt to car-sickness ...

... he took us to the town
of La Crucecita about 5 minutes away from Huatulco.
Here we went to a store that sold Cream Mescale or tequila.
Yum, good stuff. My favorite flavor was Mocha. Very smooth and creamy.
Then we went to the amin square of the town and did a little
shopping and had a quick drink at the taquera.
