Ran into these two beautiful dogs waiting for their master outside a shop. Had to stop and pat them - actually we couldn't walk past as one of them blocked our path until we did pat him. We also have seen this bird around Aspen as well. Found out he is a Black Billed Magpie. Different to our magpies in Australia especially as they have very long tails. However they still have ...
Woke with an air of expectation this morning as yesterday had been mindblowingly good. It was a cool, crisp morning around -7c. Felt just like home! We enjoyed a few beverages and celebrated (somewhat prematurely) the following days activities. Roll on World Cup!!
An early start for us. A quick breakfast and into a cab to the airport. We flew San Francisco to Denver. Thankfully all our luggage and skis arrived safely. I never realised that Denver was in 'tornado territory' until I saw the Tornado Shelter sign at the airport. An interesting thought. A quick transfer to our shuttle and then it was a 4 1/2 hour drive to Aspen.
Amazed at the difference ...
