... the old Dubai section and it is so different to the 'new' Dubai. The Dubai creek runs through the middle and is a hype of activity with all the old boats. We experienced the Gold souk, which looked amazing with all the jewellery hanging in the windows. Unfortunately we didn't stay long as it was way too hot. So today I spent the day with my Aunty at the shops as it was the last day of some big sales here. First we went to Emirates mall which has a ski slope in it! Basically like snow planet. There were so many shops and the mall connects to the metro station. We decided to do a trial run on the metro station as that is what I will be using to get to work, it's pretty easy and fast! ... high ( by comparison the Space Needle in Seattle is a little over 600 ft tall). The observation deck is 124 floors above the ground. Next to it is the Dubai fountain which is many times bigger than the one at Bellagio and spouts water as high as 50 stories!
