... airport at 5pm. As our flight departed at 6pm we weren't impressed and explained that we'd been assured we'd make it to the airport by 3pm at the absolute latest. ... my way to the Mall of the Emirates. This was another classy shopping centre although not quite as good as the last. Ski Dubai looked pretty awesome and the tourists were really flocking to it. The price was quite steep for entry (about $53 which didn't include gloves) so I gave it a miss. I will however be going when I return with Ted - definitely something I'd like to enjoy with him.

... about 20 minutes and dropped us outside the Burj Uman. It is so hot here that people are obliged to live inside where there is air conditioning. It is the reverse of back home where, in the winter at least, we live inside where there is heating.
