The Turquoise Coast
... calmer today and less windy, so it's a very smooth motor-sail. Mark and I are sitting on deck, typing and editing pictures to send. We will disembark tomorrow morning and begin our explorations around Ephesus and Kusadasi and will spend 2 nights at the Charisma Hotel in Kusadasi. In addition to seeing the ruins at Ephesus, we will be taking a short side trip to the Virgin Mary's house, where John took her to live. Island hopping from Turkey to Greece
Being the end of the season we could not go to Crete Island directly, hence our first boat which was only an hour mind you was from Marmaris to Rhode Island, Greece. Now unfortunately our Eurail pass was not valid in Turkey so we were paying for all our transport. Being an international ferry, for only an hour on the boat it cost 45.00 euro each - little we could do about it however!

Port to Crete, Greece
... with a sauna, massage and hot stones for about an hour. We cut it thin on time but made it back to get the bus to Marmaris of which we arrived at about 10pm that evening. For us, Marmaris was simply a stop over so we could catch a ferry the next morning.
Accommodation was scarce with a number of options only allowing 3-4 people in a private room. Hence, we had to pay a little more at 15.00 euro each to stay ...

... goods to sell and necessities to live on to help them though, but he said, ‘of course, if the economy fails, having goods to sell will not help because there may not be any customers’.
