We headed into Lodi to the original aires only to find it had disappeared, there was a park there though so the crinkles had a play well we got lunch ready. Over the mountain, but blocked by the waters
... so we call the boatman who, like yesterday's farmer, tells us it is impossible to cross. Very sorry he says, but the water is way too high. Drats, foiled again! So we take the train to Pavia for a day of sightseeing and we hope the rain goes away. (Obviously our poor Etruscan reading skills meant that we were not properly forewarned of the coming weather.)
