2 Hermon Street Nazareth, Galilee, Israel, 17000
Nazareth, Northern District, Israel eyre... really cool person - Addat but he is constantly busy so I didnt see him too much.<br><br><br>idit, Aviv and Addat are part of an Urban Kibbutz. They are socialists and have a wonderful comunity of people around them, the group rent houses as groups and have cars in which they all share, it is really a big family. A lot of them were taking part in a protest about the privatisation of Israeli land which they do not agree with at all.<br><br>Idit, Aviv and I talked for many many hours about ...
Nazareth, Galilee, Israel stubo... with traditional instruments, 2 pub nights a week, and one store with lots of organic products. Some of them live in these bedouin-style tents, because you're not allowed to build on all the land. The first night we went to this friend's tent, sat outside on the hammocks and broken down chairs, had some arak (the anise style drink you also get in turkey and greece etc), and played the guitar. Awesome experience.<br>Yesterday Maria and I borrowed her friend's car ...
Yodefat, Northern District, Israel jiske...
Nazareth, Galilee, Israel brisko...
Nazareth, Galilee, Israel brisko... Pub. The coolest attractions there were the glass walls and the bathroom. So first off, the glass: there was no wall, but rather glass with a view of Haifa from a different angle -- absolutely gorgeous! Then the bathroom: Since I've began travelling, specifically to Europe, I'm able to make a list of various toilets and "styles" of elimination that belong to each country. Now, I'm able to add Israel to the list. Here, males and females wee in the same bowl! As I entered ...
Haifa, Israel karinakr... too. Then we drove back to Acco. As we get closer to the old city, there's a lot of traffic. & only after we parked, did we come to realize that there was a Muslim festival occurring there for their holiday. It was very crowded so we didn't even notice the sign for the visitor's center, that I wanted to do the self-guided tour. We decided to walk around a bit and walked towards the port. We saw some of the older buildings & Al Jazeer ...
Haifa, Israel tshayo... aka the Heptagon (it has more than seven sides, so I don't know why this name is present). This church contains a stone, and this stone is supposedly where Jesus put the bread and fish that multiplied to feed 5000. 20th century excavations uncovered an amazing mosaic floor, and just below the altar, next to the stone, you may see for yourself the ubiquitous loaves and fishes mosaic. Sweet. It's a pretty little church, operative word little, and we ...
Tiberius, Israel youngtravellers... get out of the car and embrace the possibilities. So, here we are again, thirty-seven years later and still learning! Sometimes it's a stretch to let a situation develop with people who act or think differently than ourselves. It's so much easier to stay in our comfort zone. But why go to all the time and expense to travel to stay in that comfort zone? We agree that if we ever meet another Atef, we'll accept the invitation. Our first stop is ...
