... invaders. They didn't work, as the Catalano-Aragonese took over the city in 1326 and threw out the Pisans who had only taken the place over in 1258. Anyway a climb up the steep wooden stairs is rewarded by expansive views across the city and the Gulfo Di Cagliari. Of course thd day started with a few hundred steps up the hill to a huge market.
It sold every gype of food imaginable. Different types of snails. Little and big shell fish of various shapes. Large Sparda/sword fish to little green slimy ones.
Of course fruit and vegies, zucchini flowers in abundance.
Called into the odd roman ruin and finished the morning on graffiti ...

We walked one of the historic areas today.
Up lots of stairs to watch towers. The archeological museum, the local council palazzo! It was grandiose, mitcham would give an arm and a leg for such opulence.
Visited the mandatory churches, some with crypts. It stll amazes me the riches and ornate ness of these religious edifices.
Walked down to the port. ...
