... was a little chewy, the fried rice may have been the best we ever had. Next we had the sushi itself; a mix of salmon, tuna and tuna belly, all perfectly fresh and beautifully cut. Our craving for sushi was more than satisfied, all the way over here in Verona.
This morning marked our last few hours in Verona so we decided we would take the opportunity to explore one more square, the Piazza Bra, which is home to the Verona Lyric Opera Arena.
Our last night in Italy (for now) we came down from the mountain ( not in his triumph) (or similar) and have spent our last 2 days on the shores of lake Garda at the beautiful hotel Gardenia Al Lago in the small town of Gargnano. Taking it relatively easy, relaxing in the peaceful garden beside the lake or on one of our 2 count then 2, balconies overlooking the lake! Mary and I went exploring in Verona today and what a rewarding day it was. I think I mentioned last time that we were looking forward to seeing more beautiful churches here and indeed we have. That said the real discovery today was what was literally just beneath the surface.

... an afternoon stop. The good news for the long term is that the local Italian flying community have developed there own brush system which completely improves the original factory system, so we are also retrofitting that. So losing a day, but will pay back in the future.

We left Florence on the 9:35 Alta Veloce (highest speed) train to Verona this morning. We made it in a stunning 90 minutes including a stop in Bologna; now that's a fast trip. Also Mary and I had 4 seats facing each other all to ourselves for almost the entire trip. It was the nicest train ride we've been on yet.
