This is by far the most beautiful city I have visited in Spain! Ronda is where the first bullfight took place and is home to the oldest bullring in Spain. The other students and I started out the day listening to one of our professors give a speech about the history of bullfighting, very interesting but after three hours I was ready to see Ronda. We then went to the bullring and had the opportunity to go inside where the fights take place. It was a feeling like no ...
Ronda, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands aperisee... order to get an early start in the morning.
Shae question for daddy: She's riding on his shoulders..."Daddy does everyone have hair in their ears? or just you? It's white hair"
Another one, Daddy is trying to get out of the parking garage in Ronda. It's very steep. He stalled the car 5 times and someone was behind him.. I'm laughing hard and Shae is laughing. She says, "Daddy you're a knucklehead." I really don't know where she gets that...;)
... He loved it! Shae and I did a hike which was beautiful. These mountains are massive. We saw a couple of riders and thought of Bob. I'm sure the Spaniards train here for the tour. They are so steep and it's crazy climbing. Bob would have loved it! We drove around the area and then headed back to a town called Olvera where mike saw another great shot he wanted to take, but unfortunately we arrived after magic time so ...
Grazalema, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands stacicheck... also visited a bathhouse that I believe is over 500 years old. I think it's really neat how the Muslims appreciated bathing in bathhouses back then. It almost reminds me of the hot springs that we have in Pagosa Springs. We also saw the "Corridor de Toros", which stands where the original ring was first built in all of Spain. Even though I am not a big fan of the idea of bull fights, it was really neat to be there and get an idea of what ...
Ronda, Andalusia, Spain skivail89... holm oaks that lay between the highway (well, county road, more like) and the entrance to the campsite. Now, technically, this is illegal. Not only is the tent being placed on private property, I'm not entirely sure that I'm outside of the one kilometre limit established by law. (You can't camp wild within 1000 m of a legal campsite, but I don't know if that means one kilometre by road, in which case I'm fine, or one ...
Algamitas, Spain dawnsev... restaurant in Florence so she was really excited. It was delicious and we then took a walk along the river. Next we did some shopping and she bought some cute tourist things. We then went back to her hostel to pick up her friends because they were going to go to a flamenco show that I have already been to twice and then out to dinner. I took the opportunity to go back ...
Seville, Spain mingozingoHola! This morning Abby, Mom & I got up really early and caught the bus to Jerez which is about an hour away. Once we arrived, we began searching for a bodega to make tour reservations. However, we didn't have a map and kept getting mixed directions from everyone. After walking in circles and getting really frustrated, we finally found the Bodega and got tour times. Afterwards, we booked it to a world-renowned equestrian school that Mom had read about. Every ...
Sevilla, Spain mingozingo... after a delicious dinner that Mom made, I took them to a really cool tapas restaurant. It has a really young atmosphere and there are steps built into the side of the wall where everyone sits, talks & drinks. We got our drinks and found a good place to sit and then had some quality people watching time. Fun times in Sevilla! Megan

Lanzarote, Spain perez_r... made my way to the Train Station where I met Joyce and Ranya, my new travelling compadres. Suddenly, now that Alan was not with us, I was the Spanish expert. Pretty Scary. Anyways, the train ride was by far the best I have ever experienced. For the world's Fair in 1992, the Spanish developed their own bullet train to reduce the trip between Madrid and Sevilla from 6 hours down to 2.5 hours. The AVE (Ah-Vey)...can travel over 200 kmh and its name was no doubt ...
