Madeira to Puerto Mogan, Gran Canaria
... Gran Canaria at sunset we were greeted with a dramatic coast line of cliffs in deep orange with clouds sitting in the peaks. We came into the lovely Puerto Mogan at night and Sunshine Maritime's Mike and Mayla assisted Skipper Paul May put Taboo snugly into her berth. Another successful, safe and healthy trip in preparation for her Atlantic crossing in November. Thank you to the crew of Skipper Paul May, crew Roger, Dapo, Martin and myself (Louise). Chillin on the Beach in Africa - Almost...
... dunes because it was right next to the nude beach, so lots of naked men and women roaming around. Then we had some beach time and before we knew it our last full day on Gran Canaria was over! We topped off the week with a club crawl organized by Pacha- a pretty well-known club in Playa del Ingles. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend it, it was a little overpriced and all of the clubs seemed the same!
All in all it was an amazing trip - definitely one of my favourites!

Hols with the Family
... quite amazing how tired you can get doing absolutely nothing!! The weather has been just about perfect, mid 20's, sunny and a cooling breeze. There was a little rain this morning but by 11am it had gone and it wasn't heavy in the first place.
We have also had some great meals with our old favourite 'Canarios 1' at Aquinequin, being the standout meal so far.
It is Monday 9th April today and we caught the water taxi up ...
Gran Canaria Field Research
... Und wir hatten auch neben der Research viel
Freiziet. Nur leider war ich die ganze Woche heiser und konnte nix von
mir geben.
Auf Gran Canaria habe ich auch wieder gemerkt, wie sehr
ich es genossen habe, wieder in einem Spanisch-sprachigem Land zu sein
und ueberall nur von der SPanischen kultur und Sprache umgeben zu sein.
Deswegen ahbe ich mich entschieden, mich fuer mein Auslandssemester in
Spanien zu ...
