A legitimate Turkey Day in BsAs!?

... All in all, the falls were amazing and I could not be happier that we went! When we came back to BsAs, we continued our glorious food tour throughout the city and saw all the important places and just had the best time together and probably each gained about ten pounds J.

After dad left I had lots of work to catch up on, but for a couple of days I had a lovely distraction because Maggie Lissy was on a tour in BsAs so I got to spend some time with her which ...

Gooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal!!!!!

... Lucy noticed a group of riot police sitting around swlling beer!) Today we are supporting San Lorenzo and we are with the main fans. I will join you because though i support River Plate, I still f***ing HATE boca juniors (at which point he becomes transiently enraged, almost to the point of a brain bleed). If we are winning then everything will be OK, but be careful if we are losing as the crowd can become very angry".

Bright Colors of Boca, Luck of the Irish

... sleeping in shelters, next to and under train tracks, and an assortment of other public places.

As agreed, I returned back to Hostel Obelisco and met up with Stewart and Leslie. We were heading off to the Boca neighborhood, which is widely known for its bright vibrant colors painted on the facades of its buildings. Almost immediately after leaving the hostel, we came across another large protest, this one with large drums ...

... eclectic with 24 different themed rooms and hallways decked with various artist's work from graffiti to impressionist work. Our room was cool and felt Victorian although the bathroom was small where it seemed like the toilet, sink, and shower could have all been conjoined if they really wanted to set it up that way. Literally, it would be a compliment to say it was as big as a small linen closet. The hostel had to be a building from the late 1800s and was probably a legal office ...

Spring in Buenos Aires.....Muy Bonita!

... Boca Jr’s" play to a raucous crowd most Sundays, I attempted to go to a game but it was extremely difficult for me to get a ticket for a reasonable price. The ticket price is around 23-30 pesos ($10) but guys were try to sell me tickets for $100 and I didn’t even know if they were real or not so I bailed unfortunately.

Visiting each neighborhood of Buenos Aires is very easy using the subways, buses and taxis. Each subway stop has ...

... most well-known person buried in this cemetery, and we took some pictures of her grave as well as some of the biggest and most elaborate mausoleums in the cemetery.

From here we walked the neighbourhood and went to the Museum of Fine Arts which has quite an extensive collection and then stopped by a local park (and on weekends, artisan fair) and had a snack and enjoyed the lovely weather before heading back via bus to our hostel.

We´re finally here!!

... and we were through and free.

We got a taxi into the city and were amazed by the numbers of old cars and trucks on the road! Heaps and heaps of trucks! They definitely donīt seem to have the same warrant of fitness standards as we do at home. Thankfully all the traffic was heading home out of the city so we had a clear run in. Our taxi driver took us to a ...

Bye Bye Buenos Aires

... lunch as she was also moving on to Uruguay that day. I finally left BA myself on Tuesday. Iīve had such a fantastic time in the city, people I met said it would be great and it was, I recommend a visit to anyone. The Estoril and the friends I had there really made it hard to leave too, and the opportunity to see Madonna live was just an amazing stroke of luck! Sad to go, but time to get back on the bus...
