Mexico for the first time...
A short lie in prompts interesting discussion as to our next move. We could hit the road and push on, or we could stay for another night and have a chilled day in Cholla Bay. In the end it's a no brainer, and we head into town to grab a bite to eat. The town is filled with a mix of Mexicans and Americans. Murray informs me this is the closest beach to Arizona at 4 hours away, so a large proportion of the buildings here are American holiday homes. ...
MesoAmerica Rally - Mexico at last!
... hours behind schedule and with ambulance 1 already on it's way down the Mexican coast.
First off a short pitstop to pick up a carpet; an successful mission. A couple of photo opp stops through southern San Diego, a 'small' detour via the coastal roads and we're on highway 8 making our way into Arizona.

Wir waren die einzigen Besucher dort und irgendwie kam es einem vor als ob die Fische echt froh waren, dass mal wieder jemand vorbei ...
All you can eat oyster
Robert and Gloria took us to their favorite oyster farm. It is a 15 min drive from "Rocky Point" as Puerto Peñasco is called by Americans. The oyster farm not only sells oysters to the local restaurants but also offers to eat it right there. So we could see how the oysters were taken out of the water, opened and served to us. Fresh and delicious as it can be.
