waiting 4 hours in the cold for things to open...

We had heard that Gaiman can be seen in a daytrip, which isn't exactly true - probably only a few hours is necessary. Still, it was worth the trip, although it's not worth arriving before 2pm. We explored the town - a lookout; the creepy disused train tunnel with no lighting; and the

We decided to have a break from tours on our second day, and instead hired bikes from the hostel and headed for Punta Loma where they have a Sea Lion reserve. She replied “okay” and let me through without a pat-down. ...

... We sailed out quite quickly to a spot that they had been seen recently.

Then our driver slowed right down and stopped in the middle of the ocean. We waited there a short while, then he spotted the orcas. There was a mother and it's baby was swimming along beside her. We weren't that close at first, so it was hard to spot them. Then the driver let the boat slowly drift over to where they saw the whales. We searched around us for a while but couldn't see them. ...

... they target the babies trying to separate them from the mums and drown them. Its also one of the places where the Orcas chase the seals up on to the beach and strand themselves before wriggling back to the sea – I think it is on Blue Planet and it is amazing to actually be where I’ve watched it happen loads of times on the t.v. We didn’t see any Orcas which was a shame, but hopefully we might manage it over the next few weeks. On ...
