... drive and quite a lot on gravel. When I think of penquins ,I think of cold weather not 26C! But apperently they seem to cope with the weather quite well! The chicks were just starting to loose their fluff and getting ready to learna to swim, and so it was quite funny watching them take their first steps Into the sea. ... exhausted, we got a hotel room, showered off thick layers of dirt, and went to bed. After learning our route to Bahia Blanca was closed due to flooding we decided to take a break and get on a bus. We bussed all the way south to Puerto Madryn. For a set price, it consists of unlimited tea (we had around 4 litres!), cakes (we had a chocolate-banana-cream cake; some kind of cream tart; a cream, raspberry, and jelly tart on shortbread (they apparently love cream!); apple pie; and our favourite - a ridiculously rich, shortbread, dulce de leche, meringue and walnuts!), scones, breads and jams.

Following this, we waddled back to the bus back to Trelew, where we stayed one more night before making our way to Puerto Madryn.

A long 30 hour journey took us down and up the coast of Argentina to Puerto Madryn. Victoria's knee was much better now and I could just about put socks on without sitting down.
