... drive and quite a lot on gravel. When I think of penquins ,I think of cold weather not 26C! But apperently they seem to cope with the weather quite well! The chicks were just starting to loose their fluff and getting ready to learna to swim, and so it was quite funny watching them take their first steps Into the sea. ... to a huge peninsula that has various stops for animal watching. The main reason we went on the tour was to see elephant seals but unfortunately the viewing platform was too far away to be able to capture their elephant like trunks. Whilst we were out of whale watching season, which the area is famous for, there was the possibility to see orcas and although groups had seen them just the day before us, were weren't that lucky. ... I'd rather do as much as possible in one go verse of shorter more frequent sessions, so our plan was to get the rest done Saturday. For a set price, it consists of unlimited tea (we had around 4 litres!), cakes (we had a chocolate-banana-cream cake; some kind of cream tart; a cream, raspberry, and jelly tart on shortbread (they apparently love cream!); apple pie; and our favourite - a ridiculously rich, shortbread, dulce de leche, meringue and walnuts!), scones, breads and jams.

Following this, we waddled back to the bus back to Trelew, where we stayed one more night before making our way to Puerto Madryn.
