    ... with an officer and answer a few questions. After some deliberation a new visa was granted. The officers were very reasonable and in the end quite helpful.     We are glad to be home. Car trips are great but more demanding than cruises. We would be happy to jump on a ship next time!

    Thanks to all of you who followed us along on this short vacation. We loved the Falls, loved Niagara on the Lake, Lake Placid and Burlington.

    ... to be one of the greatest inventions ever. You look hilarious trying to walk in them the first time but they are revolutionary when it comes to keeping snow out of your shoes.     ... cold / wet weather, the crowd was small in outdoor mall. First stop: candy shop. Bought maple candle, maple syrup and too much candy (couldn't help myself, nor could Heather). Such beautiful local artistry and hand-crafted wood furniture. A treat to see it all. We had Ben & Jerry's ice cream for lunch and I found some really comfortable leather platforms ... I LOVE the styles here. Totally hippie / outdoor / casual. And ...

    ... cost about $9 so it was a good deal. When we went on the tour the tour guide asked what are the 4 ingredients for beer besides flavors that are added. I answered and won a pint glass. They are malts, hops, yeast and water. YAY!! After we finished up the tour we purchased our growler, got my free pint glass and made some other purchases before heading out.

    When we finished up at Magic Hat we headed out to find a campground for the night. ...
