... it again. As Mark and I make plans for our first short trip to Europe together, I'll take a break from this "Unexpected Journey" blog. Traveling is one of the things that brings me joy and light. I hope to share that joy in a more traditional Travelpod blog that is once again about travel!

Village at The Henry Ford in that buildings and objects were moved from other
locations to this site except here all of them are from Vermont. In addition, they are used to house Electra
Havermayer Webb’s collection of Americana rather than being staged to reflect
the era in which they were built.
Electra founded the museum specifically for this purpose in the late 1950s
It's a wet day here in upstate New York (we sailed into New York by ferry yesterday, but it was only a two mile crossing from Vermont!), and with a gym and swim behind us (YMCA continues to be the 'go-to' place for exercise) time to finally catch up with some domestics after a hectic few days.

Oh my goodness, what a day today... A very busy one and lots of shopping done. I really love it when we go to the small towns. A lot of people on the tour don't like them as much, but I could stay in them forever.
We started out by going to the Wild Cat Mountain to go on a Gondala ( chair lift) up to the mountain top to see the views. They ski from there every year but of course there is no snow yet. On the way we stopped on the side of the road so we could see Mount Washington ...
