Change of schedule day. Originally we were to drive leisurely down to Dion to see the ancient sacred Macedonian site below Mt. Olympus and then spend some time on the beach. ... the left and conversation kept my mind busy. Not to long before we got back to the treeline and the landscape changed again. The plan was to sleep in the dining room to save money and wake up at 6 for Kiki to catch a train. The nice lady at the refuge gave us warm beds for €3, dining room price. An uncertain start to the day with the refuge on my planed route booked out. Instead I went the longer flatter way starting from Goritsia. To get there I had to hitch hike from Litochoro for the first time ever by myself. I got picked up in under 10mins by a lovely elderly czech couple also going hiking.
