Platanista Hotel Psalidi

Despite whiplash, bunnies and 2 real *****es we are again back on Tiercel and in the Aegean Sea. This is an opportunity for a 4 week break to work on the boat and enjoy some sailing. However, it is possibly worth a brief look back at our last few weeks in Scotland to set the scene for our journey.

... und die Notwendigkeit zum Verlassen der Hotelanlage immer geringer wird?

Es war durchweg sonniges und warmes Wetter, aber es ist bereits Herbst. Wie mag es im Sommer, bei Klimawandel werden - lässt es sich dann noch unter einem Sonnenschirm aushalten? Ansonsten bleiben dann die Touristen weg, denn Pools und Imbissbuden stehen dann weiter im Norden.

Aber vielleicht ist das weder ein Verlust, noch interessiert es die eigentlichen Bewohner der Insel.

... durch das lose Geröll den Fußmarsch lohnen? Ich werde es heute nicht erfahren, sondern genieße auf halbem Wege, den fast Menschenleeren Strand mit kristallklarem Wasser ohne Seegrashaufen. Es gibt zwar keinen Sand, sondern mit Kieseln durchsetztes dunkelgraues Granulat, aber darauf liegt es sich genauso gut.
Das Wasser ist angenehm temperiert und es gibt keine kostenpflichtigen Schirme und Sonnenliegen.

... mit Haufenweise angespültem Seegras.
Die Insel scheint sich fest in der Hand von Niederländern zu befinden, überall schreien mich die Anzeigen für Nederlandse Verpflegung an: "Frikandel und Broodjes"
Die vielen Katzen auf der Insel interessieren sich nicht für Nationalitäten - Fressen zählt, vor allem Fisch.

... rkische Rivi**a und dann mit einem Wagen raus aus den Pauschaltouristenlöch**n!
Die Bootsfahrt dau**t jeweils etwas üb** ein** Stunde und ist bei dem sonnigwarmen Wett** angenehm.

Am Abend, wied** in Kos Stadt gibt es dann noch h**vorragendes griechisches Essen in d** Tav**na Alexandros hint** d** Kirche am Museumsplatz. Die griechische Platte ist günstig, und d** rote Hauswein schmeckt fast wie Kirschsaft. Ein rund** Ausklang des Tages.

Im Flieger: Lallen statt Bordservice.
Im Bus: Geht noch billiger.
Im Hotel: Ein Appartement über zwei Etagen, halsbrecherische Wendeltreppe, viel zu warm und mit Brumm- und Plätschergeräuschen - Direktanschluss an den Swimmingpool - na danke-
In der Nacht: Schlaflosigkeit, ein Zimmer, das den Schlaf raubt, aber die Oropax sind daheim geblieben.
Erst am Morgen ...

... kebab meat layered, speared and roasted. Turkish Kebab and Turkish Pizza was amazing! Not to forget the Turkish red wine!
But nothing could beat the experience of a boat ride around the Turkish coastline.
A small group - us - paid the crew of a nice boat to take us out for a day. The water was amazingly blue, clean and the bottom of the ocean seemed so close. We threw anchor. While we jumped into the big blue, the crew brought out fishing gear, caught ...

Sarah, Brittany and Kelly arrived in Kos at 5 am and had some time to kill before our 9 am ferry to Bodrum, Turkey. We sat in a cafe on the waterfront waiting for the ticket office to open. The Turkey visa was rumored to cost 15 euros and the ferry 30 euros, we were not too thrilled wıth the prices. While we were sitting there two slightly less-homeless looking young men sat down at the table ...

... the terraces. We spent all day today readıng and swımmıng ın the pool. My trıp to the ınternet cafe and our joınt foray for a good dınner tonıght wıll be the major events of the day. Just what the doctor ordered.



We have had some really ınterestıng dıscussıons wıth people about polıtıcs and about relıgıon. I ...

... the museum that was there, which had 30 pages of the oldest copy of the Gosple of Mark. I enjoyed this island and what we got to see, it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. after the museum we once again had to hurry back to the boat in order to be at dinner at 7 for Greek night. After dinner we went to the show and hung out since we had no curfew for the night. I eventually went to bed and got ready for spending a free day in Rhodes.
