Hi all

Well here we are in a very quaint B&B at Prestatyn a small town on the north coast of Wales,

So today we virtually travelled from the south of Wales diagonally across to the northern coast. It was a big drive and it rained ALL the way and lots of cloud and mist as well.

... spoken everywhere. Young people seem to switch between the languages seamlessly as they chatter. The Welsh written language looks very different from English - and the pronunciations do not beginning to match the spellings using traditional English rules. So far, there has been great tolerances in stores, at the "I", from bus drivers and wait staff, for our poor tries at pronouncing place names and unknown food items.

I still haven't worked out what the beer swilling man with the pigs backside ( description from wikipedia) was doing on the choirstall, but it will have to remain one of life's little mysteries.

We also visited Aberconwy House, a 14th Century merchant's house, and spent some time walking along the quay and along the river. One of the buildings on the quay measures only 3.05m high by 1.8m wide and is the smallest house in Britain.
