... We rode in a helicopter for about 5 min for 40$ each. It was a quick ride but a great experience. After that we headed back to barefoot landing to see the tigers from T.I.G.E.R.S preservations. people were taking pictures holding the tiger but that was 100$. We just decided to look at the cub tigers through the glass. That was a nice experience. They were very playful. ...

Our true plan was to anchor somewhere along the Wacamaw River up one of the Cypress lined Creeks. Gary spent hours researching and we had up to 7 possible stops. But because of my work we needed good cell service; and after trying all 7 we knew we could not stay in this area.
So Plan H had us in Georgetown, SC for the week.
No complaints. Nice southern town; good food; and we made some friends.

Luckily though the park was fairly empty and that meant I could get a site close to the laundry room. With little management around, I was also able to stay well past the normal 12pm checkout time, in order to finish all my packing. At 16h30 and leaving myself just ...

          Surprise!!

A travel blog entry by tchester on Jul 03, 2014

... the day both my dad and sister called to tell us how easy it would be to "swing by the beach". I didn't let on that we were on our way. Wanda actually called back to see if we would be there for dinner and I told her we were in Charlotte. Boy were they surprised an hour later when we pulled up outside and blew the horn. Everyone was excited that we came on down. It's not often that all 18 of ...
