When we arrived in Tamsweg, the snowflakes were about the size of my fist... we were worried we were going to get snowed in but luckily the snow had stopped by the evening.

We woke up in Innsbruck this morning with a few bruises - the beds were under a tilted ceiling and both my dad and I hit our heads a few times. There was free breakfast served which was wonderful! Once we checked out we had to make our way back to the parking garage and figure a way to get out of there. It was a tight squeeze but we made a pretty good team. I wish we could have spent more time in Innsbruck ...

... br> In town, there were remnants of Christmas and with church bells tolling, classic Austrian-style houses, and brisk winter air, I couldn't help but get sentimental! After all, I was in the middle of Austria with the best brother in the whole wide world! AMAZING!

Our Strobl excursion ended with a lovely cup of homemade hot cocoa in a quant little bakery. We hopped the bus, then journeyed back to Puch.

The Climb

... sky lookout which hovers ~1000m over the town. The climb is tricky in some places with the steps set out in a steep and at times awkward pattern; particularly so when covered in fallen leaves and ice. Despite the dodgy and at times dangerous elements faced on the way up the 90 minute hike was paid off in spades as and when we reached the lookout. As the only couple up there, we had full use of the facilities and took complete advantage. The views are magnificent ...
