    ... hour charter flight back to Winnipeg. By the way, we were lucky as the weather yesterday was so foggy that the flights in and out of Churchill were cancelled and people coming and leaving tours were stuck until the weather cleared up late in the day. We heard one group did not land here until 3AM!

    Tonight was the farewell reception at the Winnipeg hotel and we return to civilization and our regular lives tomorrow. Our dessert was (of course) polar bear (white) chocolates.

    ... crossing the Rockies have seen the film in Victoria, however these days there are two routes through the Mountains, the original which goes south from Kamloops and goes to Banf which is only used by the Rocky Mountaineer and freight and the northern route which was the one this time taking us to Saskatoon.
