Passing many other old castles, buildings and churches along the way we were excited to finally get to the castle, it would appear though that even with the cold a lot of other tourists had the same idea. Parking up we joined ...

... the heart of the city, with its lively pedestrian street full of tourists... gellaterias... a large cathedral... a little castle on a hilltop and a lively stream running right through the city... another pedestrain street with classy carved bushes cut to look like a piano, a guy on a bicycle. Yep... I've left the rustic charm of the Alps behind and back to the more sophisticated grandeur of urban Italy. But I will go ...
