... lser, a spiced pork sausage recipe of Danish origins, and ębleskiver.
We missed the food, and much of the procession, but this was a Danish day which was lucky.

From Solvang, we headed over the mountains to Pismo Beach, which is one of the few places where one can for a small fee of $5 drive on the beach. By the time we got there, the sun was setting and the views out over the ocean were lovely. There were a lot of people setting up major BBQs, some people ...

The area is open for viewing every day of the year and there is ...

As we were there we decided to undertake the famous, 17 mile drive. It's actually 8 1/2 miles, I guess you're expected to turn around at the end and drive back again. You're charged about $10 for this pleasure. Well, what an overrated scam. Don't get me wrong, it's quite pretty, but so is driving off the A3 into Oxshott and Cobham. It's a road, with people's houses, golf courses and some decent views. The stretch down by ...

... beach - surfers paradise! Dinner at Guiseppe's where we unearthed a corking bottle of Californian Merlot which went down a treat. For any of my red wine mates out there.....Ancient Peaks 2011 Merlot - superb!! The next couple of days will be spent on the beach/pool relaxing so updates may slow for a while before we set off to Yosemite National Park on Thursday. Happy Birthday bro - did you get our text? Hope you had a great day ...
