Having left Vigo the Captain informed us that we would be steaming ahead at 20 knots to our next destination. This may not sound too fast but it feels bad in our cabin at the back of the ship - the vibrations are deafening! Brian is still accompanying me to our Spanish lessons but I'm not sure how much longer he will stand it - he keeps telling me that he is not ...

First formal 'doo' last night, it was an excellent night, we have Bob Champion on-board at the moment and had drinks with him in the Crows nest late last night and we are having dinner with him tonight, a really nice guy and full of great stories. Having a wonderful time ...

The ship is basically one big all you can eat, but ...

After a fairly bumpy crossing through the Bay of Biscay we arrived at Vigo this morning. Hopefully, I will be able to post this when we go ashore after breakfast. The weather is sunny and the temperature is about 15 degrees. We are not going on an official trip today, just exploring the town ourselves - I believe that there is a very good fish market here. We have been attempting to learn a little Spanish- our instructor has taught us how to order oysters and champagne -should the need ...

... purchased 4 carrots at a smaller supermarket for €0.08. Interestingly you see very few over weight people perhaps the Spanish lifestyle contributes to this having the main meal at lunch time. That is probably a positive thing. Most of us have the main meal at night. We find a big lunch with wine really rights off the rest of the day. Still can't get it right.

The third element leading to our frustrations could be that we have been on the road ...
