... to explore the Ria further and went to the very top and anchored in Ensenada de San Simon. Very pretty. While searching for a place to anchor we saw around 6 dolphins mooching about - that was real cool.

The following morning we headed for Baiona.

The old town of Baiona is very nice, small but nice. The views of the Ria and the Atlantic are magical as you stroll on the outside of the castle walls.

Great bars and restaurants.

... either reopen or it's supper time.
We happened upon the market as the stalls were clearing up for the day. Bought some shell fish and having spent a little bit of money at this one stall, the owner threw in some local crabs for nothing.

When we got back we ventured in Combarro and enjoyed the local wine in some delightful little bars. This is the life!

... advantage of the situation.

For the rest of the day we did basically nothing but enjoy the day, the sunshine and the lovely view.

On Monday at low water, there were loads of "official / registered" cocklers on the beach. In the morning I also saw three dolphins exploring the area - magical! The weather has changed a lot - its now damp and miserable but we need to move ...

... a lovely lunch in pretty much the (shopping) town centre.

Went to the bus station to find out times of buses for Santiago - very limited. Back on board with reasonable internet access we found that there are frequent trains. So we spent the evening on board (hoping that we weren't going to drag as there was a pretty strong wind blowing).

We set off early afternoon and headed for the next Ria down. We had a pretty good wind with us so ended up sailing pretty much the whole way. We ended up anchoring in a nice little bay near the village Santa Cruz.

the following morning we watched the mussel farmers, cocklers and fishermen. This Ria is full of mussel farms.
