      ... so we had dogs on the train as well - very interesting. Someone was about to start smoking but no guesses as to who pointed out the "no smoking" sign so he put his smokes away (thank goodness). So another 2.5 hours and we were in Tirano. Checked in and had dinner of beef medallions (200gm steak) and mushrooms before our train ride to St Moritz tomorrow. Walking to dinner came across the most unlikely shop!! ...

      ... fairground rides to ice skating and sledging etc and is the kind of place family's would come for a day out.

      As I still have quite a few miles to go and have done about 120 miles since I last filled the fuel tank I decided to stop here and get some fuel. However I had forgotten something and that is that this is Italy where getting fuel for tourists is a pain in the neck.

      ... and bought food and drinks and had dinner at home, lovely day all around. 31.10.14 Up at a reasonable hour, had a great breakfast, then headed into Cortona for a walk around exploring and shopping. Can't believe the size of the streets cars drive in within the city limits, crazy. Went to the supermarket and got some dinner for tonight in our apartment.       ... scared he would see it...... So anyway, poor Paul was left to get Luca stripped off and rinse out his clothes and car seat. I cleaned him up best I could and put him in some spare clothes of Nicolas' that we just happened to have in the car. (note -always travel with spare clothes for all kids!!!).
