Didn't have far to go from Knoxville to visit overnight with our South FL Corvette friends transplanted to TN. Dave and Linda took us on a trip thru the back roads thru the Cherohala Skyway and stopping at the Bald River Falls which was a beautiful area. We drove thru a lot of small towns Athens and Etowah and then a delicious meal at a local diner. It was good to see their piece of quiet paradise!!

Now for those of you that don't know Jacob (in fairness I haven't known him all that long I guess) he is a young Fella from Hervey Bay who (IMO) is living the dream. Living the dream, going to college in the USA and following his passion for the game of Tennis. Ever since I have know Jacob and his family they have been tennis MAD! Semi-famous these guys are ...

Today was another beautiful day. It started out chilly and foggy but the sun quickly burned off the fog. Given the time change, we slept through most of the fog due to rising later in the day. We relaxed a bit, had breakfast and then headed downstream to the lock at Watt's Bar. I must say we locked in almost perfectly this time, due to Capt. Bart's precise steering and a perfect toss by the first mate onto the mooring posts. Once we left Watt's Bar lock, the trip was smooth ...
