This certainly has been an interesting few months, with unforgettable experiences and explorations around a pretty unique part of the world. My next adventure is back into the working world for a few months, but I'm really looking forward to it!

Four Weeks to Go
... if your plans change on the fly. As it stands right now, we're arriving in Shanghai on the 6th of May, and staying in a hostel in the west end for the week. ($96 for the week, yo!) From Shanghai, we plan to move in a south-westerly direction towards Nanning, aiming to be there around the 28th of May. From there, crossing over to Vietnam is an easy thing (via train to Hanoi).
Incidentally, if anybody is interested in popping in and joining ...
Leaving on a jet plane...
Well this is it! My bags are all packed and I think I'm ready to hit the road! I can't believe that this adventure is already here. This past week has been absolutely insane trying to see friends and family before I go, buy lots of stuff I didn't even knew I needed and just running around getting things done!

It cost us $17.50 to take a cab back to where our car was parked. I’m sure the area would be much nicer in the summer – lots of empty concession stands, amusement parks and facilities.
