There were two baptisms at Book Road this morning - Jesse Pipe (Beth's cousin) and his girlfriend from high school, Karen Workman. It was a beautiful morning, such a happy occasion for both the family and ecclesia having seen these two come such a long way. Urban camping is a far cry from quiet solitude

... of the few camping options in the area so we booked a 2 night stay.Our Japanese exchange student, Aoi, accompanied us.

We didn't know quite what to expect and it turned out to be a campground set in the woods with so-so privacy and an urban vibe. Not our preferred way to camp. The sites were much smaller than we were used to and we had a tough time fitting all our massive tents in the site.

The dreaded morning dawned.. Friday 13th too...
I was not looking forward to the drive out of the city, followed by 70Klms of 20K over the limit mayhem on the expressway to get to Hamilton / Dundas for Carolynn's Wet Canvas meet.

We had particularly come to this side of Canada specifically to meet up with her long time web friends, some she has regularly communicated with for up to 8 years.

Traffic was fairly light so the trip was pretty quick. I think the tab was going to be 160 MP but I gave him 200 MP. I was dropped off opposite the Air Canada check-in desk at Gate F1. It was going really slowly, especially with non-Canuck passports.

Oh joy! The flight from Toronto had to return due to mechanical conditions. 1340 departure is now tentatively 1645. I checked ...
