... t waste my time and money and would quit, no matter where I was. That was the closest I came to it, because while I've felt like quitting to some extent before, it's always been from the boredom and tedium of getting up every day and doing the same thing and the knowledge that I had months more of that to go, but I decided to stick it out at least until I got new shoes, and they fixed the problem.

Our last day "away"!! Tomorrow we drive from Albany, NY home. But we had one last site-seeing stop and I know this is one that my dad would have really liked. Plus, I needed to make sure we got our money's worth out of that America the Beautiful Pass. (And AMERICA IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!) I'm so happy that we've had the opportunity to make this trip.

... Diorama a visit to the Battlefield will be much more appreciated. We did a self-guided driving tour of the Battlefield. It took a good 5 hours to go through the Battlefield and was well well worth it. Absolutely spectacular. While in the wide open landscape of the battlefield, you envision the troops marching up the hills in front of you. This is something that everyone should see/do.

Speaking of little princesses, congratulations to Valerie on getting her license! She is growing up so fast! And she looks adorable driving her new car.
