    ... to Amish Country. Pennsylvania Amish Country is everything you imagine it to be -- lush countryside, rolling hills and farmland. On the back roads of Lancaster, you'll find horse and buggies, where things are simpler, the pace of life is slower and where time has stood still for generations. Markets are found where the local Amish sell their goods as well as antique shops and good food.

    Today our students got a taste of how an American school functions. They attended the morning 'blocks' which included history and English and then came together for therefor a concert in the school auditorium. In the entrance to the auditorium we noticed there was an memorial plaque to those who died in WW1.     ... the lower drop, but there weren’t very good views of it, so we hiked around to see the lower drop. It was partially obscured by trees, but still a powerful falls and worth a closer look. Next to the lower section was a thin horsetail falls cascading down. I imagine this little falls wouldn’t exist in dry conditions.
