    ... missing some key things, like a board for cutting and a knife so we bought them at Walmart. We needed forks to eat the bagged salad, but couldn't be bothered to get the BBQ out to get them since all the plates and utensils are stored in that bag...so we tried to eat with a plastic spoon and Ron's pen knife...not an easy task...finally we opted to just stuff the salad into pita bread and eat that way...     ... from a farmer's yard, we stopped. We found some fresh steelhead at Costco, (of course, it was enough for several meals.) and bought it for dinner. John cooked it on our little grill and the whole meal was delicious. After dinner, we walked down to Edna Lake at the Nisswa Resort to watch the sunset. It is still warm in the evenings in the Midwest, which makes them quite pleasant.

    Last night we stayed at the Porcupine Wilderness State Park in Ontonagon, MI. Had a site right on Lake Superior. Arrived just before it stormed. Lots of people camping in tents and there we were sitting in our motor home nice and dry watching a movie and eating popcorn! Too bad for the rain, we were hoping to see the Northern Lights.

    Covered 4 states today. Stopped in Memphis at Mud Island and took a walk down Beale street. Stopped by Graceland. Ran thru Mississippi. On to Huntsville. 305 miles today. Over 1400 miles so far. Highlights: "Walking in Memphis, walking with my feet 10 feet off of Beale" as the song goes. Some really cool stuff there. Reminds me of New Orleans...the smell anyway... Mississippi - State sign says "Birthplace of American Music". I'm guessing the first jug and washtub band was ...
