... out day so we slept in, visited Cumberland Falls was refreshed by the water and greenery and then hit the Cinemas for the first time last night. On the road again today we are headed to Cincinnati and Mark said to mention that the need to indicate or adhere to speed limits seems very optional here in the US. Not very Mark like. I will upload some pictures tonight.

... long drive from Washington DC to Corbin Kentucky. This takes no less than 12 hours. Long, long, long. Having said that all of the kids travelled really well apart from the 4 bazillion toilet stops along the way......

We arrived late in Corbin, grab some dinner. The boys are super excited when their uncle arrives from Ohio. When we head back to our hotel we bump in to friends from Jamie's from college. David and Jessica have 2 girls ...

After this we decided to head off to our next location and as we were driving we spotted a shopping outlet centre. For once I didnt need to sweet talk Simon into shopping! We browsed through the shops and left with 3 pair of trainers and for the surprise of centry Simon had the most pair of shoes!! We then checked into a motel and headed out for some delicious dinner before settling in for a good night ...

... most dangerous looking trail we could find. This was a hike adjacent to the river but unfortunately the rain decided to try and stop us. But these explorers were not going to be put off that easily and we persevered - only stopping occasionally to stop in caves when rain got heaviest. We hiked, climbed and strolled as far as we could until the route became so dangerous even the most daring of adventurers had to turn back.
