... home of Thomas Jefferson (18011809) and two other U.S. Presidents, James Madison (1809-1817) and James Monroe (1817-1825). The home of Thomas Jefferson is open to the public and is in beautiful grounds called Monticello. It was here that Thomas Jefferson wrote the original Declaration of Independence (so you can imagine the crowds there today). We also visited the Jefferson Winery (but weren't impressed with the wines), and the home of James Monroe which is just a small farm house ...

... s a LOT of Butt Time! Hope you have enjoyed the Blog. We can now remember most of what we did. Lots of good memories, wish the weather had been more cooperative, wish we had seen more wildlife, but what we did find was a bunch of wonderful people. We were privileged to be able to attend Andy's awards presentation ceremonies today at Hudson Elementary School. It's always a proud moment to celebrate all the children's academic achievement awards, but especially so those of my grandchildren! Andy received awards doe Academic Achievement, Reading and Math Mastery and a special Leadership awards!! Job well done grandson!! Job WELL done! You make me so proud!! ...
