The Last Supper
... is hard! I've got my kindle and ipod loaded and am ready to rumble.
I fly tomorrow from Heathrow to Los Angeles. We are being pick up by some of Hattie's cousins and are staying there for 4 days. I will be very sad if LA isn't like the films and i don't bump into famous people wherever i go!
I will update my blog when i'm further into my travels. Tarraaah

Back to reality
... By 3pm I got exhausted and fell asleep for three hours. Forced myself to get up at 6 to make dinner and push through the evening. Then stayed awake until 11.30 and since then there's been no sign of jet-lag anymore :)
So now it's library, library, library. Study, study, study. Exams on Monday and Wednesday next week. And then home :)
It truly is back to reality...

Anyway the main reason for this blog is to keep my lovely family informed on my trip and to let them know I'm still alive because as Laura pointed out to me there are a lot of hazards out there:
don't get eaten by a tiger, don't get eaten by a shark, don't get crushed by an elephant were some of the insightful warnings I was given. If i had my bear grylls tool i definitely wouldn't ...

I have now booked the hotel for the trip to Hong Kong. We are staying in the Wan Chai at the South Pacific Hotel. Looks a nice place. Not cheap though. I have ended up paying more for the flights and hotel than in previous years. The days of a flight to Hong Kong for under £400 have well and truly gone!!

I didn't tell a soul I was coming back home. I just got the plane to Birmingham International, got the train to Derby Train station and a taxi home- had my house keys and some money to be able to make it home.
I arrived back at home at 2pm, I had missed my mum by 30 minutes as she had already left for work and wasn't back until 9pm. First thing I did was go and speak to the parrots the eldest one Mitz recognised me and was chirping away ...
