Munising, MI is like being in a classroom! "Pasties"???? "Seiche"???? "Yooper"?? Okay, smarty, so you knew these definitions! Not us!! PASTIES are an old Hungarian "sandwich" which the miners and loggers of this area took for lunch. A pastry shell filled with either sweet fruit or savory meat...with potatoes, carrots, onions, rutabagas, spices. A one time try was enough! A SEICHE occurred on ...

    Hello again everyone!
It's Hanson blogging from Sault St. Marie. Sorry I haven't been up to date recently, it's been kind of hard to find Wi-Fi in most camp grounds.

This week was spent mostly driving around lake superior trying to make it to Ottawa by Friday to meet my Mom. The view along the way has been amazing! I had no idea ...

We decided on a short day of travelling today so we could catch up on things we needed to get done, like laundry. We drove a short way out of Thunder Bay and saw the memorial to Terry Fox. A large bronze statue at a beautiful lookout of Thunder Bay and Lake Superior. We stopped at a campsite near a small town community called Neys which is just west of a town called Marathon. I need to check if ...

We continue on our journey through Ontario by moving northwest around the edges of Lake Huron to a small town straddling the Canadian border called Sault Ste. Marie. A word of warning...if you ever visit, do NOT pronounce it "Salt Stay Mary". I said that to Michelle the first time and she just laughed at me. It's pronounced "Soo Saint Marie", with emphasis on the -ie.

Today we picked up the Trans-Canadian Highway, and I discovered that it's ...

... Rain stopped for a while enough time for stretch and walk so lovely and peaceful at the cove but very cool. Reminds us for Vancouver Island with Terry and Diana plus we passed a car with two canoes on car roof. Took a few bumpy videos of Montreal River Harbor even with the rain the scenery is beautiful pity we can’t pull off the highway to see them no slipways or you have to drive down side roads to see ...
