... soon gave way to canyons, red rocks, and cacti in Arizona. We've had a taste of this before in Las Vegas and Colorado, but to drive through such a long stretch of it felt incredible. We even got to drive parallel to the passing Union Pacific railroad!

It was a bit jarring to transition from two-lane, 75 MPH, sparse I-10 to the bustling roads outside of Phoenix. However, we did reach the city before rush hour, so we got to our hotel by 4 ...

... hardly ever plays, and it was tough on him, but he persevered. I shot 90, which should have been 84. Didn't make a putt all day, and a couple of really stupid holes.
